Revecorp Privacy Policy
- Description of this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Revecorp (“we, “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data through the Revecorp TransitCheck, MAQS and VINTerpreter applications (“Apps”). The Apps are intended for use solely for use by users authorized by Revecorp. Use of the Apps by anyone not Authorized is prohibited. By using the Apps you agree to the Revecorp Privacy Policy and acknowledge the data which is collected and how it is used. If at any time you disagree with the Revecorp Privacy Policy, please discontinue use of our products and remove them from your devices.
This policy complies with applicable U.S. and international privacy laws, including but not limited to:
- The California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (CPRA).
- The Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA).
- The Colorado Privacy Act (CPA).
- The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA).
- Other U.S. and global privacy regulations as applicable.
If you are located outside the U.S., we comply with applicable international privacy laws, such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for the European Union (EU) and Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
- Data Collected When the App is Downloaded
When the App is downloaded and initialized, we collect certain device-related data, including:
- Device Metadata (e.g., make, model, operating system version).
- Android ID (unique device identifier).
- Device Serial Number (if available).
- Screen Resolution (width and height).
- Source IP Address (when interacting with our web services).
- Categories of Personal Information We Collect
We collect and use the following categories of personal information:
- Identifiers: Name, Android ID, device serial number, IP address, online identifiers.
- Device Information: Make, model, OS version, metadata, screen resolution.
- Geolocation Data: GPS location when the App is open or running in the background.
- Multimedia Data: Photos, videos, and voice recordings uploaded by users.
- Transaction Data: Logs of interactions with the web portal.
- Stored Data: Temporary files required for App functionality.
- Internet or Electronic Network Activity: App usage, interactions with the web portal.
- Professional or Employment-related Information: If the App is used for work-related inspections.
- Sensitive Personal Information: Precise geolocation, biometric data, and government-issued identification numbers.
We do not collect Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, or financial account information unless required for specific business purposes.
- Data Which May be Collected When The App is Installed or While Using the App; Permissions
When the Apps are installed, they may request the following permissions. Users can disable individual permissions at any time, but doing so may prevent the Apps from functioning properly.
- Camera – The camera is used while using the apps to take pictures or video as requested by the user to document an inspection process or other situation where a picture or video is an efficient manner to document information.
- Location – Users are requested to approve a permission to collect location data via GPS and other methods both while the app is open and when the application is not open. A function of the applications is vehicle tracking, so this function only works if location services are allowed continuously.
- Microphone – The microphone is only accessed while in the application to collect voice to be recorded or to be translated via text to speech.
- Phone – The phone permission is necessary to transmit data from the applications to the web portal which stores the data collected long term from the device.
- Storage – Data collected by the device is temporarily stored in local storage but will be deleted after a set period from the device. Local storage is also used to store data sent from the web portal needed to perform the functions of the applications including data such as users, vehicles, process templates and device configuration information.
Additionally, when transactions are sent from the Apps to Revecorp, they may include:
- Device Metadata (e.g., Android ID, device serial number, screen resolution).
- GPS Location Data (if enabled).
- Source IP Address (for security and authentication).

In compliance with CCPA/CPRA and other state laws, we collect the following categories of personal data:

- How We Use Your Personal Information
We collect and use your personal information for the following purposes:
- Providing Core App Functions: Tracking vehicles, storing data, performing inspections.

- Ensuring Security and Preventing Fraud: Detecting and mitigating security threats.
- Complying with Legal and Regulatory Requirements: Adhering to legal obligations.
- Auditing and Debugging: Ensuring system integrity and resolving issues.
- Providing Customer Support: Assisting users and addressing inquiries.
We do not use personal data for automated decision-making, profiling, or behavioral tracking.
- Data Sharing
Revecorp does not share customer data outside of users authorized by the customer.
- With authorized users (e.g., your company’s approved personnel).
- With service providers (e.g., cloud storage and data security providers).
- As required by law (e.g., legal requests, subpoenas, or regulatory compliance).
- For security and fraud prevention (e.g., protecting against unauthorized access).
If you are a California resident, you have the right to opt out of certain types of data sharing under CCPA/CPRA.
- Data Retention Policy
We retain personal data only as long as necessary for our business operations, security, and legal obligations.
- Temporary system logs – Deleted within 30 days.
- User-generated content (e.g., reports, inspections) – Retained for up to 5 years (or per contract).
- Account data – Retained until the user requests deletion.
When data is no longer needed, we delete, anonymize, or securely archive it in compliance with applicable laws.
- Your Privacy Rights Under CCPA/CPRA & Other Laws
Residents of California, Virginia, Colorado, Texas, and other states have the following rights:
- Right to Know – Request details about your personal information.
- Right to Access – Obtain a copy of the personal data we collect.
- Right to Delete – Request deletion of personal data, subject to legal exceptions.

- Data Protection & Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures, including:
- Encryption – All data is encrypted at rest and in transit.
- Access Controls – Restricted to authorized personnel only.
- Annual Cybersecurity Audits – Complying with state and federal regulations
- Do Not Track (DNT) & Opt-Out Preferences
- We do not support Do Not Track (DNT) signals, as no industry standard exists.
- We do not share personal data for targeted advertising.
- Users can opt out of data processing where applicable under privacy laws.
- Handling of Children’s Data
Revecorp does not knowingly collect personal data from users under 18 years old. If we discover that a minor’s data has been collected, we delete it immediately.
